April 2015 Donation to Doctors Care of Littleton

We provided 24 beautiful baby quilts to Doctors Care of Littleton.

They will be given to new babies and to children who need "comfort" when they visit the clinic for medical needs.

Doctors Care was very happy to have the new supply.

December 2014 Donations

Thirty quilts were donated to Doctors Care of Littleton.

Doctors Care provides access to affordable health care to the medically underserved in the Littleton community.  Our quilts are given to small children who are seen by the clinic.

Scraps to Treasure organization donated 100 quilts in 2014!

Spring 2014 Donations

- April 29 - 10 quilts were delivered to the Golden Quilt Museum to be distributed to families that were affected by the devastating Colorado floods last year.
- May 6 - 13 quilts were delivered to Dr.'s Care of Littleton, and 11 quilts were dropped off at Joshua Station.
- June 7 - 5 quilts were given to WaterStone Community Church.

39 completed donation quilts is an amazing accomplishment!

January 2014 Donations

We are off to a terrific start in 2014.  "Scraps to Treasure" quilt makers provided the following donations in January:

- 20 fabulous baby quilts to Doctors Care of Littleton.  This organization almost met us in the parking lot because they were so excited to receive our donation and believe our arrival answered their prayers.  They were almost out of quilts for the many new babies they are expecting this month.

- 5 quilts to Dry Bones.  These street kids are thrilled to have something beautiful to call their own.

- 6 large quilts to Joshua Station.  Can you imagine the family, who is establishing the home they have worked so hard for, placing a warm and beautiful quilt on their bed?

Donation update for July 2013

Thanks to the amazing dedication of our volunteers we had stacks of beautiful quilts ready for distribution  -- 34 in total.  

They are going to:

• 24 baby/child quilts will be delivered to Littleton's Doctors' Care Clinic.

• 10 beautiful larger quilts to be delivered to Joshua Station

Columbine Courier Features Scraps To Treasures

Scraps to Treasures' members had the privilege of spending time with Chris Ferguson and Gabriel Christus of the Columbine Courier, Saturday February 2nd, 2013.  We are so grateful for the time they shared with us and for the wonderfully written article published about our group.  We hope to inspire new members to take part in our group and to shine the light on the amazing charities we support with our quilts.

Donation update for February 2013

Thanks to the amazing dedication of our volunteers, after our last meeting on February 2nd, 2013, we had stacks of beautiful quilts ready for distribution  -- 52 in total.  

They are going to:

- Inner City Clinic - 17 baby quilts

- Joshua Station - 12 quilts 

- Less Homelessness - 13 baby/child quilts.  This is a new group for us and is a WaterStone Community Church-sponsored group.  It is described as:  "With economic conditions continuing to deteriorate, the face of our homeless neighbors in Jefferson County is very different than we might imagine. There are now more than 2,800 verified homeless children in Jefferson County Schools, and that number is growing daily. Less Homelessness works to provide temporary shelter for the homeless in Jefferson County."

- Night Lights, at WaterStone Community Church - 5 child quilts

- Dry Bones - 5 quilts
